Chimspector Venting Specialists

Leak Diagnosis & Repair

Chimney Leak Repair

We diagnose leaks from the roof, not from the ground — evaluating cap, chase cover, flashing, crown, and masonry to find where water is really getting in.

Chimney cap and flashing

A chimney leak is rarely a simple problem — water can enter through several points, and fixing the wrong one just wastes money. Chimspector's technicians climb onto the roof, check the attic, and evaluate every entry point before proposing a repair built to last.

Frequently asked questions

Chimney Leak Repair FAQ

Common signs are water stains near the fireplace, a musty smell from the firebox, rust on the damper, and efflorescence (white deposits) on the exterior masonry.

It depends on your policy and the cause. Sudden storm damage is more commonly covered than gradual deterioration — check with your provider directly.

A cap covers the flue opening on a masonry chimney; a chase cover is a metal pan that covers the full top of a prefabricated chimney chase.
